Using the SpillOrder App to Manage Orders and Refunds

Viewing Orders on SpillOrder App

When a new ASAP order is placed, a notification will sound on the App and the order will appear on the App Dashboard with a status of Pending.  
Notes
Note : Make sure you disable Auto Lock in the device Settings.  The sound notification will not work if the device goes into sleep mode.  To disable Auto Lock go to Settings -> Display & Brightness -> Auto-Lock = Never


The App home screen has three tabs for viewing orders. 
"Prepare Today" - all orders that are due to be picked up or delivered today,
"Ordered Today" = all orders placed today and could include order ahead orders not due for pickup/delivery today.  
"Upcoming" = orders due for pickup or delivery in future days.    Orders that are placed for future days will be visible in the Upcoming Tab a will appear in the Pending Orders Tab on the day they are due to be prepared.




Viewing an Order Details

By tapping on the order you can View the order details and see the time the food should be ready for.



Updating an Order Status

The Order Status can be updated via the App :
Pending -> Food not yet prepared.
Prepared -> Food has been prepared and is ready for Pickup/Delivery
Delivered -> Food has been picked up (or is en route to being delivered).


Sending an SMS message to a customer

You can notify the person who placed by order via text that their order is ready to be picked up.  




Updating Pickup/Delivery Prep Time

The prep time can be updated via the App from 10 mins up to 60 mins.  This is useful when the restaurant becomes busy.  It will inform anyone who places a new order that the prep time is now 60 minutes and give them and adjust the pickup time accordingly on the order confirmation. 



Enabling/Disabling your Online Ordering Location

Online Ordering can be disabled/enabled by toggling the on/off button on top right of the screen.

Filtering and Sorting Orders to help manage ASAP Vs 'Order Ahead' Orders.  

If you accept Order-Ahead you can change the Sort Order of your orders to view them either in the order they are received OR in the order they are due to be Ready.   

Idea
We recommend you sort by "Ready Time".  We also recommend you toggle on 'Hide Delivered.'



Alert Notifications for Order Ahead Orders

ASAP Orders trigger an alert notification as soon as they are received. 
Order Ahead Orders do not trigger a notification when they are received, instead they will trigger an alert notification when you should start to prepare them.  I.e. Ready Time - Prep Time. 

See example order #845888 which is due to be ready at 9.15am Central.  A Notification appears on the iPad for order #845888 at 8.45am 


Processing a Full or Partial Refund

Click on the Navigation Menu bars to expand the Navigation

Then click on "Order History" to view all completed orders.



Find the Order you wish to refund and tap on it to expand it.



Tap on the Refund Button


You can enter the full or a partial amount to refund

If you have a Star Printer supplied by Spillover you can go to Print Settings

And toggle on "Enable Printing"
