Authorize.net Payment Gateway Setup

  1. Confirm with your Merchant Service Provider (MSP) that they support the Authorize.net payment gateway and request a VAR sheet. This will include your Merchant ID, Terminal ID, and Processor information.
  2. Create an Authorize.net “Payment Gateway Only” account
    - You can sign up directly on the Authorize.net website
    - If your MSP is an Authorize.net Partner Reseller, they can assist with setup
    - If not, Spillover can help create the account
  3. Complete account activation steps, including entering business details and adding payment information (this can be a credit card for Authorize.net’s monthly gateway fee).
  4. Complete post-activation steps inside authorize.net account (generate API creds, switch to live, etc)
