Setting up Spillover Stream integration to Toast POS

1. Create Account

-Go to the SPILLOVER STREAM Welcome Page: spillover.streamorders.com/welcome 

-Click Toast: 

2. Set Up Account

-Enter Name, Email, Phone, and create a password.

*(Note for PM: email should match the ENGAGE Order Admin)
-Search for location in the "Business Name" dropdown and choose from the options.

3. Connect POS

-Inside the Stream dashboard, click “Connect POS"
-Choose “Toast” / “Connect POS”

4. Log Into Toast

In another tab, log into Toast at pos.toasttab.com

5. Get Integration

-Inside Toast, find "Integrations" > click “Browse & Purchase Integrations"
-Search "Stream" and click "Add Now"

 

 

 *Note that Toast Partner Connect is required for all accounts to access and connect to Integration Apps in the Toast Marketplace. If you don't see the "Add Now" button under Stream, contact your Toast Representative to add Partner Connect to your Toast account.  

6. Copy Merchant ID

-Back in Stream, copy the “Merchant ID”

7. Configure Integration & Paste the MID

-Back in Toast, click "Integrations" > "Configure integrations"
-Next to Stream, click the Settings gear icon
-Paste the Merchant ID under “Group ID” > click “Apply”

Payment Method

Set up a payment method to allow transactions:

Payments > Payment methods > Other payment options

+Add : STREAM > “No” manager approval

Channel Visibility

Check/Set menu visibility for online orders:
Menus > Edit > Advanced Properties
Show/Hide > “Visible To”
All menus meant for Stream/Online Orders should be set as “Visible To” > “Partners”

(Save & Publish any changes)

Prep Times

Check/Set prep times in Toast:
Takeout & delivery > Toast online ordering > Delivery “On”
Quote time strategy > set quote times
Toast online ordering > Delivery “Off”

Dining Options

Set up dining options that displays a title on the order ticket:

Kitchen > Dining Options > Dining Options >

+Add (2): Spillover – Pickup (takeout) / Spillover – Delivery (delivery)

Discounts

Add Check and Item level discounts that allow Stream to pass coupons:

Payments > Comps and promos > Discounts and promo codes
+Add a Discount (2) :
Stream Open Discount - Check Level > Open $ Off > Entire Check > Advanced, Allow combined (Save and Publish)

Stream Open Discount - Item Level > Open $ Off > Any Item (Save and Publish)

DSP Fee

Add DSP Fees that allow POS to reconcile fees:
Payments > Checks & receipt setup > Service charges and fees

+Add (2)

3PD Delivery Fee > Open Amount > No, assign to restaurant (Save & Publish)
3PD Delivery Fee Taxes > Open Amount > No, assign to restaurant (Save & Publish)

9. Finish Stream Setup

-Back in Stream, click “Check” status to populate menus

*Note that menus in Stream could take up to ~24hours if you just completed the Stream integration in Toast. Check back tomorrow and click "Check Status.” If the menu still fails to populate, go back to Integrations > Group ID > delete and “Apply” then re-add the Group ID, “Apply” and “Check Status”

  

10. Publish Menus

-On your Stream dashboard, click the “+” sign to publish your menu to various DSPs:
