Trays, Platters, & Bulk Items
Catering menus are designed for group servings, typically set up with trays, platters, or bulk items. Each menu item should clearly indicate the number of servings it provides.
Examples:
- Spaghetti Half Tray – Serves 10
- Spaghetti Full Tray – Serves 20
- Meat & Cheese Platter – Feeds 10
- Chicken Dinner – Feeds 6
Servings Per Item ("Feeds #")
Each catering item must include a "Feeds #” value, which defines the number of people the item serves. This value ensures accurate price-per-person display and proper portioning. A "Feeds #" designation is required for every item on your catering menu.
Default Settings
Catering Orders start with headcount and pickup date/time choices before proceeding to the order menu. When a customer enters their headcount on the initial order screen, the system will then dynamically display available order dates and times based on the applicable prep time tier.
Minimum & Maximum Headcount
The system requires a minimum and maximum headcount to ensure appropriate prep time based on order volume.
Default Head Count Settings:
- Minimum: 12 people
- Maximum: 200 people
Prep Time Tiers
Prep time is determined by the headcount. These settings can be customized as needed to accommodate different lead times for various group sizes.
Default Prep Time Settings:
- 12-100 people: 1 day prep time
- 101-200 people: 2 day prep time
Delivery Settings
Delivery services can be enabled for businesses managing their own catering deliveries.
Customize options:
- Order minimum values
- Delivery fees by zone
Note: At this time, Catering Online Orders do not support third-party deliveries.
