Claiming, Creating, Verifying, Updating your Google Business Listing

You will need to add Caddie Services as a manager to your Google Business Page in order for us to monitor your Google reviews as part our Reputation Management Service.  

To Check your Google business ownership roles/status:
  1. Go to Find Google Business Listing and enter business name/city to choose your listing from the options that populate.
  2. If you are the current owner you will see a "You manage this Business Profile" checkmark, otherwise you may see a  "Claim this Business" or "Own this business" link on the Business Profile. 
  3. If this is a brand new business, follow steps to create a new Google business listing. 

 

To Create a new Google business listing: 

  • Go to Create Google Business Listing
  • Click "Add your business to Google"
  • Enter the business name
  • Add business details
    If you do not have a business address (or work from a residential address)
    -choose "NO" under "Do you want to add a location?"
    -then add Service Areas (you can change this later)
    -then add your personal (hidden) address for verification
  • You will have to complete a verification using one of the provided options (video, mail, email or phone)

 

To add Caddie Services as a Manager to your Google Business Profile

 

To Claim Ownership if your Business Account has been claimed and you don't have access 

  • Click on the "Claim this Business" or "Own this business" link on the Business Profile
  • Request ownership or management role using the request form.
  • Once you've requested ownership, the current profile owner will have 3-7 days to respond.
  • You can check the status of your request by signing in to Google My Business or clicking the link in your confirmation email.
  • If your request is approved, you'll be notified by email and will be able to manage the Business Profile and Add Users.
